Is there a difference in T shirts?
Other than the obvious of pocket T’s or Long Sleeve T’s, the main difference of most T shirts is the weight. About 4-5oz or lower is considered a light weight T where a 6oz or heavier T would be considered a heavy weight T. Sweatshirts, although heavier in weight, have similar considerations.
Is there a difference between printing or embroidering on a light garment or a dark garment?
A darker garment requires an underlay or base coat of white ink before printing the actual colors. “If your house was black, could you get by with one coat of white paint?”
This does not apply to embroidery. Of course, you should take the color of the garment compared to your logo into account to make sure that it looks correct. For example, if you have white type in your embroidery logo and your garment color is a light color, will you have enough contrast or should you change the color of the type?
Can I get the same design printed or embroidered on different color shirts?
Yes, as long as your design stays the same color, size and location, there are no additional fees to change the colors of the garments.
Can you put my design on something other than a T shirt?
Yes, assuming the sizing of the print or embroidery works with the other products. If you are getting polo shirts, throw in some hats or a tote bag with your logo. If you are printing T shirts, get some long sleeve T’s or sweatshirts at the same time.
Do you put names and numbers on shirts?
Yes. Standard names are 2” tall letters and standard numbers are 6”, 8” and 10” tall (please check with your league as some of them have minimum height rules for numbers on the uniforms).
